The city in which Redi lives in the Oddball series is being renamed. Grimstonshireville is too long to shove in everyday script, and while they could shorten it when they talk about it, I'd rather they say the full name.
I'm open to suggestions for the Victorian/Steampunk/Old English style city, and I'll think of an appropriate reward for a winning entry if someone comes up with one, I'll likely create a background shop with a title and contents of your choice, unless I think of one myself, in which case I'll pick the best runner up out to get the shop.

How about Chillington?
Or Mardo... funny how actual real and fictional city names come to mind instantly, obviously Ye Olde English or Steampunk, or even Cyberpunk related.
Cwenburgh, maybe? There's so many names that already exist (specially people names) which could actually match the city nicely but are unheard of nowadays. But I guess you may be hurting badly for new ones.
Just to build upon your original name: Grimelton.
It's fun, simple, and fits into everyday scripts. Heheh.
